A picture is worth a thousand words, a book a million. Donate today!
Reading is a fundamental skill in today’s society. Having approximately 1 billion people on the planet who lack basic reading and writing skills, the Salvation Army looks to improve conditions by increasing the availability of books to children and teenagers.
Without literacy, education is close to impossible. The Salvation Army is holding a book drive to help young children and teenagers enhance their reading skills. This gives them an opportunity to expand their horizons, their natural curiosity, and their ability to think. The Salvation Army book drive is a fantastic way to be involved in your community and have an impact on the world.
With your participation in our book drive, we are looking to increase the accessibility of books to children and teenagers.
If you have any books to donate, we are collecting them at the following locations:
10565 Fairfax Blvd Ste 104 Fairfax, VA, 22030
7580 Gardner Park Dr Gainesville, VA 20155
459 Herndon Parkway, Suite 3 Herndon, VA. 20170
